XJ550 spark plug gap

    I read in another forum the gap was .28 is that correct? I have a Stock 1983 maxim XJ550 just want to make sure its gap is right.

    Not really. First off you have the decimal point in the wrong place, you're talking about .028"

    The spec is 0.6mm-0.7mm, or .024"-.028" Since plug gap gets greater as they "wear" I set mine at .025"
