Replaced last year - everything good BUT noticed a build up of non-conductive material on each fuse - will cutting off the oxygen by covering each contact area ( only around each contact ) with something like white grease help prevent the problem ? I know I should have used a newer blade style fuse box but the job is done - thanks

I'd suggest a dry film lubricant - there are a variety OK for electrical connections. That should help protect and help with your corrosion problem.

thanks will follow your suggestion - has anyone else had this problem ? I'm almost thinking that the reaction takes place between the plated end caps on the glass fuse ends and the plated tabs or saddles they snap into - bike has not been wet since the replacement - weird

You can get a Product called: Contact Re-Nu

A spray-on Electrical Solvent that Cleans, and De-Oxidizes all Contacts and Switches.

The Product is safe for Auto-MC Electrical Components and Computer connections.

Evaporates and disappears shortly after use.

Update - Bluemagic brand brush-on electrical tape 4oz can did the trick - problem solved just brush on exposed metal contact points and rusting or chemical reaction stopped - can replace fuses as needed and re-apply
