I broke a piston ring putting my engine back together, original pistons and rings. no modifications ect.

    cylinder walls look fine.

Can I simply replace the springs with new standard size rings?

I did the same with my CB 750 and fitted a new piston ring. Didn't know then to hone the cylinder.
