xj650 seca paint

    Does anyone know of a rattle can paint color that comes close to the metalic grey of an 82 xj650 seca

    Autozone carries Dupli color you might find the paint chart find one close.

    I use 2k spraymax as a clear coat over the paint. Isn't duplicolor a lacquer based paint ? can
    spraymax be used over lacquer ? My recent rattle can paint jobs, that have turned out well,
    have been rustoleum or krylon enamel. Best results have been to spray the clear coat over the
    enamel color coat at ten minutes when one can touch it without paint coming off on one's finger.
    the other alternative is to wait a week or so for the enamel to completely cure out. Do you know if
    when useing lacquer, one should apply spraymax imediately, wait for it to cure, or not at all ?
    I'm asking if anyone knows because in my inexperiece I have made a few wrinkled messes.
