XJ650G Throttle Cable Routing?

    Hello everyone,

    I've been working on my 1980 Maxim 650 - I replaced the carburator holders and had removed the throttle cable from the engine area. It took a while for me to get back to the work, and now I can't recall how the throttle cable is supposed to be routed.

    The picture below shows how it's routed now. The throttle just does not feel right - and a stuck throttle would be a disaster.

    Would anyone be able to tell me how to route the cable?

    I think it should pass to the left of the frame, over the tank support & round the steering head to the throttle grip.
