Hi, glad to meet you all

I picked up an xj700 complete basket case with a stuck engine and hacked frame. I’ve freed up the engine and gotten some things going but, I think, I am in desperate need of a gauge cluster.

Does anyone have a 2 pod gauge cluster?

I think I definitely need that for the fuses.

    thanks!!

I’ve got zero idea sadly. I work on things and got this thrown in on a trade. It’s something I’m trying to keep low in terms of price because of how bad it is. Just want to get her back going.

Person left it outside apparently and was full of water and locked up. I got it unlocked and it’s spinning with power directly to the starter. I’m assuming the carbs are a complete nightmare, not sure yet.

I’m just stuck on the wiring and apparently I need the harness that’s in the gauges to get any response from stuff.

So I’m on here begging, lol.

Do you need the GUAGES or just the wire harness / fuse block that is inside the "warning lights" box? The gauges themselves each have their own short "stub harness" that comes off of that warning lights box harness.

Also, is your bike the XJ700 air-cooled or water-cooled model?

It’s the air cooled one. I got something that is rooouuuggghhhh from eBay that’s on its way but it’s going to be a nightmare. Going back to stock would probably be a massive improvement.

that and the “coils” that came with this don’t fit. They cut the original harness.

I know this is probably too far gone but once I take on a project I see it through to the end. Gonna hear this thing run.

We do have a good used fuseblock / gauge harness, and of course ignitions coils too.

Send me an e-mail at: info@xj4ever.com and let me know the complete list of items that you need and I'll send you prices and ordering info!

Which harness are you referring to?

they cut the coils on either side off the wiring harness. I’ll get some photos of the area. I don’t know the firing order but I think I can figure it out. Not sure if these coils will work or if I can rig something from the harness or try to repair the old ones.

I am not sure what wires are hooked up to the coils but those cut wires look an aweful lot like the cut wires that match a set of coils that came as parts.
