After getting my bike no more than 5 months ago, I clocked in my first 1,000 Miles on her just a few weeks ago. I've replaced the spark plugs, changed the oil and filter, replaced the old battery with a brand new one, as well as replaced the UNI filter with a K & N filter. . . my bike has decided to not want to start up again.

I started noticing the bike having a little bit harder of a time starting easily as it normally does about 2 weeks ago. Each first start of the day was slightly getting harder and had more failed starts as time went on. This was usually a cold start in the morning or after getting off work and riding to a friends house and leaving about 4 hours later in the cold 1AM night. It would be as bad as 10 minutes sitting out on the bike and moving the choke about and revving the throttle greatly while pressing the start button.

It had its last ride with me about 3 days ago now, and only started up again when I hooked it up to my car with jumpers. I rode it around a bit to see if it would help, but upon stopping the bike. It could not start alone still.

I do notice that my right exhaust is blacked out a bit on the end and my left one is perfectly clean.

    Reasonable Problems
    :

-my sparks have been fouled somehow due to all of the failed starts and have become bunk

-my engine and curbs are so gunky from dirt that it just will not work properly

-the battery charging system on my bike does not work well and wont charge my NEW battery. ALSO my NEW battery will drain when trying to start so much, even though it is a new battery. . .

-maybe the alternator on the bike not working well either. . . the headlights, horn, and signals work great. So im not sure if its on this one.

    Current Condition
    :
The bike currently sits in my parking spot in front of my car, I keep her in neutral and when I turn my keys to ON the electrical gauges work and headlight is turned on. Upon engaging the kill switch to ON and pressing the start switch the starter begins to engage but there is not ignition from the sparks and the engine wont turn over.

    >When I jumped my bike after sitting for 2 days, I noticed a lot of dirty air and smoke coming out of my exhausts, it was a dark grey smoke that came out but as I revved the bike more it went away and had a normal exhaust, at least the normals one Ive seen since I first got it.

Im taking my battery to my local shop to get the charge reading on it, and also going to clean my spark plugs, my pops said to use "extra smooth sandpaper" for cleaning them.

This is my current status on my XJ700 and im dying a little every day having to use my Infiniti haha.
Any Inputs and Help would be greatly needed! Im planning on tackling the engine and curb removal and cleaning with my buddy next week if it comes down to it. (Which probably needs to be done anyways. . .)
