Does anyone know if it is possible to mount the water-cooled XJ700X radiator on the air-cooled XJ700N?

    Why would you want to?

You would need to swap the watercooled engine as well. The air cooled engine does not have any coolant in it.

You could mount an oil cooler on the air cooled engine which would help with cooling.

I wanted to know if it was possible so when I was doing syncs I could be positive that even with two large fans on it that it wouldn't overheat. More curious than actually wanting to do it.

You're not doing anything to the motor doing syncs that idling in rush hour traffic in the middle of summer doesn't. A house fan or two is fine.

The fan on the water-cooled bike's radiator is designed to help cool the radiator, not cool an air-cooled engine. I think the house fans probably push more air too.
