Does anyone know the weight of an XJ750 engine with alternator minus starter?

Might get one to play with if I can get it delivered

I'd say 225 to 250 lbs. AN XS650 twin engine weighs roughly 210 lbs with all the stuff, so I guess a four cylinder without alternator would be significantlly heavier.

Pretty damn heavy. I'd say 250 easy.

Whole bike is ~524 lbs curb weight I think.

I could move my 550 engine around by myself, but my 750 engine is a whole different monster

That's what I feared, would mean over £100 courier from Essex to Cheshire. Ah well never mind, thanks guys.

I was able to carry my spare 750 with Oil around 40 yards and load it in my Trunk solo, the trip to my Garage wasn't quite as bad because mentioned Oil decided it would rather stay in the Trunk lmao. I will say it was much lighter than my SOHC CB-750, I'd guess around 200lbs. Oh and 524 is Wet Weight, comes in Dry at like 475 or so.
