XJ750 Maxim 1983 Exhaust question

    looking for a "new" collector for my 1983 XJ750 Maxim. the part under the frame where the header pipes meet and go off to the mufflers.
    can anyone tell me if this part from a 1986 XJ700 will fit?

    mine was rusted and a few years ago i welded up the rust holes, but there is little metal left to weld the new holes which have developed. not looking to buy a $400 exhaust system.

    and as a side note, my mufflers are from a Harley Sportster. i find them all over for $10 a pair. i just made my own hanger bracket from some inch wide 0.125 flat steel.

    According to the fiche, the '82 and '83 750 Maxim are the only two bikes that share your collector box.

    thanks for the fiche check.
    i'm guessing the collector box from XJ650s or XJ550s arn't going to help me either....
