Xj750 maxim lights in speedometer?

    Hello,
    I have acquired an xj over the winter and have been fixing it up since. Its been running great and I am really getting to enjoy it now that the weather is nice. However, the only thing i have yet to replace is the lights in the dash, if you will. I cant see speed or rpms when dark and have to assume this is supposed to be lit up. The bikes an 82 so i imagine its because they are burned out. Ive attempted to take the assembly apart to find these with no avail, does anybody have a good walkthrough for replacing these bulbs? Thanks!

    photo on page 4 shows rubber plugs in back of cluster with green wires leading to them pull the rubber plug out
