Can an 83' XS1100 motor be placed in an 83' xj750? How many modifications would have to be made?

    XJ1100 models
    :

Much like the XJ550 models, these engines are rather unique in a verity of ways, and thus preclude swaps with their smaller XJ-cousin engines. XS1100 engines should work, but this is not an area in which we have any definitive experience.

Unfortunately, we have no good advice if this is your goal!:

Update I removed the front and rear end of the XS before the rain started, i will get the motor out when the sun comes back.... next week.
But that's okay I can't really tar apart the xj for 3 weeks anyways just trying to get a jump on things. IMG_20230531_172449653.jpg

Challenge failed. Do not attempt,I repeat do not attempt. big waste of time. When it comes to the frame Nothing is interchangeable But maybe the handlebars I did not check, they were ugly. I was able to use the bearings from the XS swingarm for the XJ swing arm. Xs swingarm is too big to go in the XJ frame. Front suspension you could use the fork tubes.they are only 1 mm bigger on the XS than they are on the XJ but the triple tree for the xs is too big and too wide to try to make any combination of the two suspension components work.the xj's just too small for the xs parts.
