I have a 82 xj750 and I'm trying to figure out if a 82 virago mono shock swing arm will work.

thanks. i liked the the project shadow warrior bike. i liked the way he did the mono. looking to do something like that. I've also saw where people have relocated the mounting brackets (for the dual shocks) a little closer towards the front. kind of gave it a little more aggressive stance with keeping to the "natural" beauty and lines of the old. question? would that still have a smooth ride? that seems like a more cost effective way to customize the rear of the bike.

You'd be changing the effective spring rate, so I imagine that if you readjust the spring collars to compensate you'd end up with a simmilar ride.

And travel limiter so you don't break the u joint or bottom tire into fender!
    Or a shorter shock .
