The plan was to make my bitsa 900F (with modern wheels and tyres) look like a 650 Seca (because I like the look), by making custom side panels, seat etc. But it's been sat there for over a year now with no progress, just generally in the way (like too many of my bright ideas).
So the time has come to move it forward, decision was made to build it up as it was designed to be, well nearly anyway. It will keep the modern forks and wheels (its so long since I bought them I forget what they're from), modern brakes, steel handlebars. The seat, tank, sidepanels, upper fairing, tailfairing will be 900F. To this end I've paid for a tank and fairing on ebay, most of the other bits I have. At least this way it becomes a useable bike, rather than an obstacle..
I still need a square headlight to fit the fairing, master and slave cylinders for the rear brakes, some clocks, rear and indicator lights, and probably loads of other bits.
Oh, and the frame still needs rubbing down and painting. Pics when I can, probably when its rolling...
Edit to add the original build thread - would you believe 3 years ago?
