Basically, the plan is to convert a 4-in-1 Kerker exhaust system to an hybrid 4-in-2 system made of original headers and collector box of one of my XJ900 parts bikes combined with FJ1200 mufflers.

    Starting point:

    Expected result:

The guy who did that before me was kind enough to send me this simple draw too:

On this last picture, it's a FJ1100 muffler , his first conversion, but the dimensions are quite the same.

What I don't know for the moment is if there is any issue with the rear wheel removal.

The bike is very quiet with these cans, and the look is more balanced, the two changes i'm looking for.

Sleeves will be needed as the inner diameter of the mufflers is quite larger than the outer diameter of collector box outlets.

Yeah, the left side always looks naked with 4 to 1 exhaust. These bikes were made to have toucans.

The guy told me this morning he actually had an issue with the rear wheel axle removal due to the bigger diameter of the can and the slightly different angle, he had to remove one muffler to get the axle out. Better seen on this picture with the FJ1100 mufflers.
