XJR400 Family Cousins?

    I've asked the boys across the pond this but haven't heard back. My question is there any relationship ie cases,cylinder casting,etc between my XJR400 and the 550 & 600 aircooled fours. I haven't tried registering it yet but if there is a problem I may hunt up a 550 or 600 as a title donor. :? Guzzi John :wink:

    I believe there is; a lot of part numbers have the same prefix. I'm pretty sure it was the same motor, same bike, and Yamaha just "grew" it for the Export markets. A lot of the other parts are virtually identical as well.

    I would really like to get my hands on an XJR400 parts fiche.
