xs1100 engine

    does anybody out there know if a xs1100 engine will go into a xj650? I can get a good running engine for free and the thought of all the extra power is very appealing....

    No way! The 1100 engine is almost twice as large physically.

    With sufficient effort (via the hammer and torch) you can fit anything on your frame. That does not mean your frame will handle it but the thought is interesting. I would vote against it but if it is all you got, go easy on the throttle.
