xs400 question

    has anyone ever used the universal weld on kit from tc bros? just trying to see some pics if anyone has used it.

    I have but not on a XS400. By looking at the picture you have the longer set of tubes as the lowers. I know on my bike (KZ400) the longer tubes had to be used as uppers as the shorter 2 are not long enough to do so.

    You can see what Im talking about here. My frame is obviously different stock then the XS400, but it appears from your picture and the amount you have cut out that you are going to need additional tube to what is given in the kit.

    thanks for the info ill check it out.....as for the longer tubes on the bottom right now i just have them slid over the frame to see what it looks like. i wasnt sure which ones go for the top or bottom. i got the bike off a guy that had already cut the frame like this, so i guess im gonna have to extend the top tube some and them weld to the kit. i also am gonna need another tube to run down behind the motor. what do you think?
