XS750 info needed

Hi everyone..I just bought an 1979 xs750 with 16k miles for $200.00.

I think I scored pretty well?

It runs perfect and everything works correctly the only thing I had to buy was a rear tire to ride it. The gas tank has lots of chips but no dents so I will need to sand and paint (easy stuff).
The engine is VERY tarnished and discolored so it needs to be stripped and re-sealed to look good.
Questions; How much oil does it hold?
Best oil to use? (here comes the debate) I am planning on Shell Rotella.
What is the easiest way to clean the aluminum without disassembly?

Also I need a horn button or the whole assy.

Rotella will work well; oil volume should be on the block.

$200 is pretty good - if you got a clean title.

Flat aluminum cleans well with Scotchbrite and Mother's; non-flat surfaces can be cleaned with Mother's and an old toothbrush (don't use most household cleaners on aluminum).

You might be able to get a new horn button from TKAT http://www.tkat.com/ or Mike's XS http://www.mikesxs.com/ - I think this is a generic Yamaha item.
