    Hey guys,

I just spotted a super clean '06 Radian with very low miles. The clutch was a little tight, but other than that, the bike is in super condition. Are these good bikes? The engine is the same as in the FJ600, FZ600 and the early XJ600. It is a development of the XJ550 engine. I have seen several people describe this engine as "bullet proof". I think that sounds about right. I have a 2005 XJ600 with 90000 km on it, and it is still running smoothly. I had the engine apart to replace some bearings, but the old ones were all perfectly fine. Even the big end bearings were like new.

    Thanks
    Xing

You already know what you need to about the Radian. It was a "parts room" bike; used the 550 Maxim frame. It's as solid as any of the XJ550/600 series.

I had an 86 Radian from 1992-2004, never had any issues with the bike, it always started right up and ran smooth. (Normal maintenance done of course) The bike was alot of fun, very snappy in the low/mid range. Wish I still had it, had to sell because of divorce.

Mine has 28,222 miles on it and it runs great. If the price was right, I'd get another one.

I googled the radian. Kinda snazzy looking. Kind of a blend of seca and maxim styling.

Very nice bike. If the price is right and you got the room, I would get it. They are alot of fun to ride.
