Yamaha Seca XJ 750cc 1982 Mod Question (noobs)

    Hi Guys,

    I just got my driver license and my dad give me is old Seca.

    I really love the bobber style and i will like to mod my bike.

    I found a lots of information in the forum but i still have question.

    First, I was wendering if anybody knows if i could put a peanut tank on the bike?

    Something like that.

    Secondly, i want to put a ape bar, like this:

    And i want to put my gaz line, brake cable and everything on the ape bar but i cant found anything on ebay. Somebody know where i can get those?

    you have to chop up the frame pretty good, mainly the backbone to make the peanut tank fit correctly.

    Check out anton80's mod he figured out an "easy" way to fit the peanut tank he got onto his XJ.

    Easiest way to change the 750 Seca tank into more of a bobber is to replace it with either a 650 or 750 Maxim tank (not quite a peanut, but definitely closer than your OEM). Then sell your tank here :wink:
