Yamaha To End Duc's Superbike Streak With Ben Spies!

    Ben Spies rides for Yamaha like his life depends on turning-in record breaking lap time on every circuit he rides.

    Spies hasn't ridden the challenging Portimao Track in Portugal for some time. He had different tires on each of his open practice and qualifying runs.

    He'll start the race in the 3rd Position.

    The difference between having the Pole Position and starting 10th on the Grid for the event was: 0.5389 seconds. Under 54-Hundredths of a second.

    Two more Yamaha's are in the top 25.
    Tom Sykes and David Checa ... 18th and 25th ... 2.964 off the lead.

    I guess when you are good enough to compete for the World SuperBike Title ... It's less about the Bike and more about who's riding!
