Does anyone know anything about the Yamaha Vision. I found one on Craigslist here. The most I know about it is that it is a 550. He is asking 25.00 Yes twenty five dollars. No title. I figure if nothing else it is parts. Any more knowledge out there?

Actually, it was pretty high-tech for it's era, DOHC, 8 valves, liquid cooling, monoshock. I like the styling actually. Few people who actually owned one have many fond memories of it though. I'm not sure why, although I bet there is at least one website out there which considers it the pinnacle of motorcycle design.

Whoops, here it it, took all of 5 seconds to find it...proving once again, every dog has its day. Shouldn't be surprising though, there's a Madura website after all.

They are a good little bike, like most yamaha's, very reliable little shaftie and good V-twin engine, I still have most factory brochure's from Yamaha's in the 80's and it's on my 1983 full line brochure.

sounds like a pretty interesting little bike. I will pick it up tomorrow and let you know what I find out. Shure would be nice if I could get it to run.

it appears to share a lot of the same parts as my xj750. Same right and left controlls, same relays and same auto off for the blinkers. I have her torn down now. A lot of the same electrical parts down to the fuse box. The handle bars even share the same design. Not the same size though. Any one need parts? Interesting carbs on her though. Mikuni down draft. Le tme know if you want some pics.

Sorry no fairing present. The fairings on these seem to make the bike look pretty cool looking. I f I had more time and money I would rebuild her and get her back on the road. Title work bites the big one though. So parts it is.

Pitty, nice looking machines. You say that some of the assemblies look compatible with the Seca? I'm curious, are the turn indicators any good?
How about the throttle and clutch clusters? Does it have a headlight on/off switch?

Part numbers are identicle with the 82 maxim, (not sure for the seca) for the right side controlls and the left side controlls. I have my 82 750 max right next to it. Rear turn signals are good and one front signal is good. Black with amber lenses, long stems. Let me know if you want a pic or two? Clutch lever may be the same also. This one is trashed though. No headlight on off switch. Just high/low. I dont believe the starter button works on this one also. Probably needs cleaned. Relays also may be the same. Need part numbers to be sure.
