i bought a Yamaha XJ400 4GO Seca, which i have now owned for a few months.
I also bought a XJ550 Seca, which is 90% identical to my bike.
Trouble is, there isnt many XJ550 parts on Ebay UK and for some reason Alot of USA sellers want to sell a side panel for a super high postage of near £50.
Also there is a few parts that are unique to the 4GO which are very hard to find: Japan spec clocks( speedo n rpm), decal set for a black E model, upper engine casing stamped with 4GO.
Ive been looking for these parts on Google and trying to source a pair of side panels(undamaged) and a full lock set.
But its not all bad, ive bought a red front mudguard from USA which i will get chrome plated to replace my old battered one ll

Im not allowed to post in most of the forum pages, so i cant make a wanted post.
If anyone has any tips on where i could find parts, other than ebay, please letme know

From what i understand, Japanese do not use Ebay in Japan, its Yahoo Auctions, to which you have to use another company to act as an agent on your behalf.
To access Yahoo auctions directly you must firstly have a Japanese Yahoo i.d, which unless you canread Japanese, you cant get passed the registration validation code, which cant be translated. But also even if you could read it, you would need to be able to change the language of the keyboardto Japanese to give the correct answer??
Even if you did create an account, alot of Japanese sellers wont deal directly with international bidders
Working with an agent is the way to go, but has limitations, like
-unable to message seller directly. Which if the seller is a motorcycle dismantlers is limiting as i can not ask the seller if they have the parts i am specifically looking for .
    - no best offer option, just an auction that does not end till no more bids are placed.

But ive managed to buy a parts manual for the bike, which might help sourcing specific parts using the part numbers lol

    Have you tried http://one-jp.com/
    http://www.jauce.com/
They are both agencies, I have used both and been satisfied with the results, yes the various charges can be a bit much but if you need unusual parts then that's the cost. I had no trouble registering with either of them.
