Hi lads, i've put a 750 seca engine in my maxim, can someone tell me is there supposed to be
a plate covering the main air#80 and pilot air#225 under the diaphram in rhe carbs. im using the maxim carbs in the seca engine. main jet #120 pilot 40. it shows a plate covering the main air and pilot air in the seca carbs but not in the maxim CMSNL schematics. Thanks.

plate is a part yamaha used then stopped using it is not needed
Same jets are used in 750 maxim and seca
if you look at this link you will see specs for US bikes. also Canadain and Euro Seca which have different jets. the US bikes had to meet EPA requirments. That is why there is a difference.
What you have will work fine.

if by planking you meen the cover that goes over air jets , no it is not needed. the screw is not needed as the hole for screw goes no where

    Main AIR Jet Size: #80
    Pilot AIR Jet Size: #225

for hatachi carbs the number is a metric drill size

main air jet is smallest diameter #80
