I THINK.. I have to adjust my power valve on my yz125. I just got finished rebuilding the top end and have the powervalve cover off and have been trying to put it back to where it was when i took the linkage off. I dont know if it was right when the bike was running but its not right now.

Correct me if im wrong but. When the engine is off. The power valve is closed.

My engine is off and when i look threw the exhuast port Its not closed its actually almost all the way open.

The reason i havnt touched it yet is because im unsure if its right or not and i dont want to go screwing around with it as its already complicated enough just putting it back together my manual is completly useless when it comes to this it seems.

i believe it should be closed at idle or not running
and when its full throttle its open

since this is a xj sight you may want to try mototips.com (dirt bike forum)

its been a long time since i saw the power valves on a yz.....what year is it?

you can go to bike bandit and look at the oem parts section for exploded views...it may help you.

it should be closed when the engine is off
