Title: Rotor pulling

Does anyone know the correct size thread for a rotor pulling tool on a 83 XJ750 Maxim?

I've looked around for the answer, and I've seen one shop that suggests a 16mm x 1.5mm thread, but I would like someone to confirm that, before I decide to purchase the tool.

I can't believe the Hayne's manual doesn't seem to mention this, it's pretty important information for dismantling an XJ engine.

You're talking about taking the front brake rotors off the bike correct? Doesn't need a 'rotor pulling tool' - even the FSM doesn't mention this.

I'm sorry, I meant the main pin on the AC generator rotor which turns the starter clutch. The drum that is surrounded by the stator / alternator.

Its inside the large cover on the left side of the bike, just in front of the starter motor, and directly behind the left-most piston cylinder.
