Title: Wiring woes - Relays, Fuses, Lights

For a couple months I had two 35w halogens as headlights (instead of the stock mounts). Everything was hunky dory, no problems.

Yesterday I changed my headlights yet again and now I have the setup you can see below. It is a 55w halogen unit, I have it hooked up the same way I had my previous lights hooked up - and it blows the signal fuse. I think this is happening because I am running the headlight off the brown hot lead wire that is meant for the signals. I can't seem to figure out which wire I should be using for the headlight. The blue/black wire that comes from the headlight relay should theoretically be what I want, but it only carries a few mVolts on it. The brown signal wire was the only one I can find that carries the full 12volts.

What wire should I be running my headlight off of? Thanks! - Evan

I think I have it figured out. I'm running the headlight off of the blue line from the ignition (wired the power up through the hi/low switch for light on/off and wired it up through the aux light for high/low beam). It seems to be working great and I'm not blowing fuses.
