HI folks. I am not new to motorcycles. But it has been a number of years since I've been on one . ( I am 57 male). I bought a Yam Xj 650 from a friend. It has 47000 kms ( Canadian Bike ), when I got it 6 yrs ago. Back then I was cleaning and left it running.. too long. It started to leak oil around the valve cover. Not sure if I caused a valve cover rubber leak ( run too hot) or I screwed up the head gasket.. or head...Anyway I now have bike in my basement since 5 years. . I just bought a used XJ 650 with 32000 Kms.. for a parts bike.. But I want to change motors to the first one.. But the motocycles shop told me to tear down the Carbs and clean them. Is there anyone out there who can give me details how to do this right...It there some pictures on the net someplace where I can print out with details..
