Title: Carb running too rich

Roxanne - May 23, 2005 11:39 PM (GMT)
My bike has had the carburetors rebuilt, cleaned and placed back onto the bike. I now have an issue with the bike running very rich and clogging the plugs. I have no idea what else could be the issue? The bike runs very well when it is going at high rate of speed but wont idle well or run well when at lower speeds due to lots of fuel causing black plugs. Any and all ideas are appreciated and will be useful as I have put alot of money into the bike and dont want to get rid of it.
Thank you
Roxanne

Oops, the bike is a 82 XJ750

The carbs have not been set up properly. The best way to set them up is with the aid of a Colourtune test plug to help set the air/fuel mix and then use a YICS tool and a Morgan Carbtune II to balance the carbs.
