If I am not going to be able to ride for a few weeks, I get the impression that I should hook my battery up to a trickle charger. Should I remove the battery from the bike or can I leave it in the bike and just connect the charger cables?

Hmmm I just triclecharged mine thru the winter never thru the summer. But i always pull it out of my bike since never been a major prob.

My charger has a kit to add to your battery so you can charge it on the bike. Doesn't matter IMHO.

Yeah, 12 volts is 12 volts. It don't matter in or out of the bike. I hooked a quick connect to my bike so I just have to plug it in, I don't have to pull off the cover.

which chargers do you guys use? I am looking for a good charger that won't set me back too much...
