I need some help. The guy i bought my maxim xj700 1985 off of laid it down a little before i bought the bike. Part of the right side heat shield left the bike as i was going down the road yesterday. Any ideas on weather to A. make one B. possibly get the 7 inch shield from JC whitney. Or C try to find a used one . and from the pictures it looks like it was sold as one big piece attached to the middle of the exhaust . any ideas or help is appreacited. :ph43r:

Depends on what fits - be very very careful from ordering from JC Whitney. A lot of the items won't fit right.

Check wreckers too - that's where I found some parts for my XJ.
