um......i keep seeing posts saying stuff about a fuse block on xj's....am i supposed to have a fuse block on my bike? i cant find anywhere that the wiring has been hacked to remove a fuse block and i can only find one fuse..... :unsure:

MY Seca has a fuse block under the seat on top of the air box. I have the service manual for a 700 on CD and it looks like you should have a bank of three fuses but I can't make out where it is located.

try under the idiot lights below neutral :lol:

still haven't found a fuse block...........

try taking to cover off the console below the tach and speedo, it is the cover w/ the indicator lights on it. also, use a very small dab of anti seize when putting it back, my screws are all rusted in on my bike, so i have to grind the heads off of them and then remove the screws. :(

well, from the looks of things, i wont be keeping the bike :angry:

fuckin police department and county clerks office wont give me any info about the bike (except who its registered to, and i called him and his wife said he had never owned a motorcycle and hung up)

the bike was given to me by a friend (it was given to him by a friend of his dads) and i dont have a title for it and its titled in someone elses name (last registration was 1985, this is a 1985 model motorcycle) surely if it were stolen or anything it would ahve popped up on the computer when the county clerk ran the VIN #

what a bummer. the xj700 is a sweet ride, you may just want to do a little more investigating and backtracking. bummer giving up a good ride like that, especially when the price was right.
