are there any bikes that came with spoke wheels that can be adapted to the XJ700? i really dont like the cast wheels that are on it now.

Some older (70's)) Yamahas will have wheels the same width. You may have to get new spacers for the sxles and such. Someone else will have to answer regarding tubes/tubless etc. Or you can call one of the chopper suppliers, they still make new and $$$ versions of this stuff for all the OCC wannabes.

yah, but it is shaft drive, wheels (rear at least) will have to be from a shaft drive bike.....

The front, maybe, the rear, no. Unless it's a chain driven version. Is your's a shaft or chain?

shaft, as far as i know there was never a chain drive xj
