Title: What would you like to see as a download?

mr.fork - March 6, 2005 05:33 PM (GMT)
Hey guys,

Just trying to figure out what you guys want on this forum/xjowners. Do you think that if I uploaded FSM's and other related materials, that it would make you want to come back to the site?

I would love to see all of those things on this site. Although as a web guy I realize how difficult it can be to create/prepare good content. But if I had to pick one, it would be the Service Manuals.

I wouldn't mind having the service manuals at hand anywhere I go, but you shouldn't be trying to exceed your bandwidth just to tempt people to come back.
You've got a nice thing going and my guess is we'll all stop in every once in a while, downloads or not.

i go with the service manuels also. as far as coming back i do pretty regular,(once a day sometimes more. ) once the word gets out more people will come. I don't know why the xs-xj site does so well. there up to 2005 members now.But i visit here as much as there. Just keep the faith Mr fork it can happen. :D

Some DIY topics are always a nice thing to see...
Maybe there should be a DIY Section in the forum for members to post their experiences and pictures of things that need to be done to the bike.
Come next winter I am going to attempt to paint my tank... if I post anything it will more then likely be what not to do but I think it will still be good reading.

Well, I think you may have achieved your aim :) :) I do like your outlook on individualality.

Did you use the good old spray paint can mathod for that paint job?

The reason i ask is because I bought some black metal flake can paint and clear coat can also, but I was worried that even with high quality spray paint it would still look crappy... Yours looks nice, the finish I mean ;)

I zebra striped my first seca, and felt the same way until I noticed all of the attention the police were giving me! I'm sure my riding style at the time had nothing to do with it ;)

jauten, If you use spray paint, make sure to use high quality stuff made for automobile touch-ups or the Testors stuff made for models at your local hobby shop. I prefer Testors because it can be found mixed to factory colors like Plymouth Plum Crazy, or one of their "House of Kolor" blends.
Unless you want a rat-bike, stay away from Krylon!

no spray bombs here. I used to be a bodyman -painter,the paint you see there is sikens automotive paint. The orange is from a stock color chip, the green i mixed myself,it is lime green with moss green pearl added. you have to see it in person to appreciate it...Or not.Recently saw another orange bike so it's back to the spray booth for me.
