I am looking to relocate the fuel pump from the xj650turbo to a different position. (I am in the process of building a trike using the 650Turbo engine ) what I need to know is will this be ok. The pump is a positive displacement unit and contains an inbuilt relief valve so I cant see any reason why it cant be moved, would any of you owners and mechanics out there be able to advise as to whether this is ok or not. I am aware that I will have to adapt the wiring but thats not a problem, can anyone see any problems in undertaking this move.

It should work fine. I've used low pressure aftermarket pumps with no problem.
