Well here it is...I had no ring problems, my problems was the removal of the stock airbox and not rejetting the carbs etc...Now my mechanic has gotten another airbox and put it in and readjusted my carbs back to what they were and I have no problems with my bike even at 160kms speed.
I guess the bottom line of the story is unless you want to mess with rejetting etc, leave well enough alone.
I went to single filters on my XJ which my mechanic here in Thailand said gave the carbs 1 gallon more air than the cup of air from the stock air box which caused all my problems.. I can tell you now I'm back to normal and alot of power...
Now I want to say I'm sorry for the way I presented myself in the past to Hired Qoon and want to give thanks to the following individuals:
JB CAHILL
WINTERHAWK
KLIPH
CT SOMMERS
Again thanks alot for all you guys help....
If you are ever in Thailand I WILL HOOK YOU UP...for the first night!!!

Hey!
Glad it worked out. I wondered what happened.
I go back and forth about doing the pod filter/rejetting thing on my own XJ. I would much rather keep the bike as stock as possible, but know a bad design when I see one.
Because the carb boots are so hard to come by, the pod filters may be in my future one day, but rejetting can be so tricky, I'll wait on that.
I just scored some used carb boots from ebay that I hope will help my own air-flow problem. Can't wait to put them on and see if and how much it helps.
Know anything about front brakes??

No problem Khundan, Glad to hear your back on the road. B)
