Was wondering when the announcement was coming.

Hogfiddles the mind reader. If you hadn't said anything, I was going to ask tomorrow...

Tomorrow being the "only 4 four months away" mark!

Hoping for good weather, might ride up there this year.
Maybe this time I get to wash my xsr?!
Still haven't done that since I got her.

We also have to start a "fuel for the tractor" fund.

But you knew that already didn't you Dave?
No big projects for this trip (for me at least). I'm undecided as to which bike I will bring (weather is a factor), but there will be an oil change on the to-do list. Otherwise I'm willing to pitch in and help with anything.

Never know what will end up needing done with mine! Crazygnat has been going out of his way to help me get my bike sorted out, waiting on valves now. After that I need a battery and that should get it going. But we have a small list of things we want to try to get done such as clutch cable, replace choke lever, replace speedometer ( if I can find one by then), might be replacing throttle cable, and I think there are a couple of other things I'm probably forgetting again lol. And I'd also like to try to give it a good bath as well!

I guess I'll be the one to pick nits: it seems like they spent more time soaping each other up, and that bellybutton jewelery looked like a big scratch hazard. Could we get them to put the coveralls back on, for safety's sake?

Dave, I def want to see a carburetor bank taken apart, how and what to clean etc.
Wrenching is more fun but unfortunately bike needs a well cleaned and working carb.
Also, fuel level adjustment. Always good to see a pro do it and learn tips and tricks.

No children for an entire weekend, just bikes and good people. Oh, and that pizza place in Sherburne.

Let's see if we get to see Dave hump a motorcycle again :)

There's a chance I may attend. I have at least 2 options for my bike. I have a complete original exhaust I'd like to fit, but I need a number of gaskets and mounting bits, plus I'd hate to get "stuck" with an exhaust stud that broke. I could also plan to service the front forks, which seems lower risk. I think new fork oil would be enough at 20K miles.
I could always check valve clearance, which is a nice teachable moment, and the shim pool is ooh-so-close!

    1. If you have all the parts for installation, we can put it on :)

    2. We can replace the fork oil

    3. If you come out a day in advance, or if you trailer the bike in, we can do a clearance check. But if you ride out in the morning, we can't do a clearance check... engine needs to be overnight cold.

I think whatever you're comfortable with. I showed up around 9:30 last year, will most likely do the same again this year. Gives me time to get a longer ride in before.
People are there the entire day with bbq until late

Who needs anti skid when you have @smeagol21b and @TheCrazyGnat to stop the fall? That was scary... I actually blocked that memory... until now, so... thanks!

But no, No anti skid... It's expanded steel (looks like mesh???) I was thinking about rolling on some rhino liner truck bed stuff, but i'm thinking that might be slippery too when wet. Just have to remember to get the bile on the trailer before total nightfall and subsequent dew!

Checked the bearings and sanded/spot painted the trailer as well. Looks good... as good as a trailer can look.

@saftie suggested that adding flames would make it look and perform better.

They make spray on anti skid/ slip resistant material, you can get them at Walmart, alternatively they anti skid strips for your steps or even for the tub, just run a strip where you be taking the bike up. Expanded steel can be slick as snot even when dry...
