    I have a brand new carb kit for a xj650 the internals of the carbs or whatever. My question is I currently have a xj550 an wanted to clean my carbs an all tht stuff, could I use tht xj650 carb kit on my 550 carburetors?

    No. 650 has Hitachi carbs and 550 has Mikuni

    So no way to put the jets an needles an springs ect. tht are brand new into my 550 carburetors. What if a 550 was bored out or exhaust system was customed, air pods stuff like tht wouldn't tht make it like almost mandatory tht youu up the guts inside the carbs?

    mikuni jets are numbered at rate of fuel flow.
    Hatachi carbs are metric drill sizes

    pilot jets are completly different configuration

    drain screws may work

    Then you would need parts for a Mikuni carb.

    You may as well be trying to put parts for a Rochester Quadrajet into the 55o carbs.

    It seems to me that you need to do some reading before you get in over your head and end up frustrated.
