well it looks like the diaphrams in my carbs are completely stuffed (falling apart literally very brittle) what i want to know is will the carbs...

UPDATE: finished stripping the bike today just have to pull the motor out of the frame now. [img] Still cant work out why a bike needs so many...
just wondering there is 3 wires coming out of the alternator on my 81 xj550 and there all grren with a yellow stripe and conect to 3 all white...
hmmm i have some of that might have to give it a shot there just lillte holes it looks like there from where the diaphram has sat with a crease in...
just discoverd the diaphrams in the carbs on my 81 xj 550 have holes in them and that there kinda expensive to replace are there carbs off of any...
well started disasembleing the carbs today theres so much varnish inside them they look like they have been antiqued and the diaphrams have 4...
i think karma is kicking my arse for the inlet manifold bolts in the head being really easy to undo so far every onther bolt has felt like it was...
yeah got a mate that runs a custom stainless/ exhuast shop might have to try the old "hey just thought i would stop in with this carton of beer...
