650j drive shaft question

    Does anyone know the exact length of a 650j drive shaft? Thanks

    11-1/4" overall length. The 1980-81 650 Maxim driveshaft is the same length, and will interchange, but the shaft thickness (diameter) is a little smaller than the '82-3 version.

    The 700/900 driveshaft is a bit longer (12-5/8") and quite a bit thicker, and requires a different u-joint.

    Thanks chacal. My winter project is a swingarm mod and i needed the stock drive shaft length to plan ahead.
