The bike runs and idles fine with fuel and oil blowing out of the carbs?

"Fine" is a relative term, sort of like the whole beauty/eye of the beholder thing.........

Apparently. How about a better description of the problem/symptoms so a diagnosis can be suggested?

the only thing that stops gas from coming back out is the intake valve
where the oil comes from could be several things
but if the valve closes nothing can come back out
    check the valve clearance first

ok just to clarify a little when i say runs starts and idles fine thats exactly wot i meant she just doesnt miss a beat only after a good hard ride does this mysterious liquid appear it leaks out the air box thats why i presume its coming from the carbs it is the colour of oil but is thin and smells of petrol at last check it didnt run on 2 stroke, oil level hardly appears to change i did have it suggested that it might be something to do with a carb butterfly sticking open but no oil should be there so im ruling that out any suggestions

My guess is blow by, back pressure forcing fluids up the vent into the air box.

"only after a good hard ride" It's probably getting into the airbox through the breather. It's most likely a mixture of oil vapor and probably water vapor. Is it rainy season there? Is your oil overfilled? How MUCH comes out?

Worn rings, that's why it's worse when you have been riding hard, have you checked your compression?
