wanted backrest

Subject: XJ Parts
Hello ,I am new to this site ,and wondering if you guys can help me in locating a part.
I recently aquired an 85 XJ700. and am looking for the sissybar (backrest)
with the pad on it .I've seen this particular bar on so many of the XJ750X's on your website pictures. Are there any left in the world? I've cheked EBay and all the local junk yards with no luck. Is there an aftermarket bar that might work? Please help

Backrests for the 85/86 Maxim/MaximX are relatively rare and highly prized. If found on eBay, they often end up going for over $200.00. Personally, I haven't been able to justify that cost.

there is a post in the modification fourm of building a back rest for a seca it has pics and part and tool list. If you want to make one

 

I have one off a xs1100 I can send you photos to see if it will work for you .

I have a backrest/lugage rack for sale if your interested. It fits a 80 XJ650 Maxim but I think it fits other bikes too. $25.00 and what ever shipping is. Look in my gallery.
