Was looking through this and realized I never posted the additional pics that some guys asked for...
There's a whole bunch here that we did for a magazine submission..

Here's the folder with the ones that made the cut for the submission

It never made it into the mag, the editor said it wasn't "the right genre /style of bike for their mag" yeah..I guess it wouldn't fall into the 'garage/home built cycles' style... whatever..lol well here's some more pics for my XJ buds! :D

No worries. That bike is awesome. You should be proud of your build. It gives the rest of us a concept to strive for.

That bike is amazing. I recently found that same fairing at a bone yard. There was no windshield though. I thought I saw yours with a tinted windshield also. You fabricate your own or just buy them off eBay? I am looking for a windshield solution and any advice would be helpful.

The clear one was the original that I cut down. I did fabricate a tinted one last fall, here's the link to the thread showing how I did it. If you get me an address I can make a paper template of the current tinted one, or for $15 plus shipping I can send you the clear one. :D

Wow. That is very good job of fabricating that windshield. And really? You'd sell me the old one? Nice. I don't seem to be able to pm so here is my email. If you send me an email, I'll give you my address and figure out what I'll owe ya for shipping etc...

Beautiful work, i just see one thing that could make it beautifuller :) The original brake rod and brake stay arm, a man of your talents could fashion some custom ones in mere moments.

Don't know about the "mere moments",... :D but I do have plans to try and convert this to a hydraulic brake system. I've just been so busy with rebuilding the brake system on one of my 'collector' cars, that I haven't had time to get to my bike projects.. yet. :D Car is done, time to get to the serious work :D Here a link of my proposed 'upgrade'

Has anyone been able to track down the fairing make and model that is on VooDoo? I have been trying for literally days looking at hundreds of pictures, searching with as many keywords as I can think of and I cannot find the Yamaha it came from. It looks very familiar...I even looked at the Phazer snowmobile. Close, but no cigar...HELP...ANYONE!!!

Never realized how rare these are :p I just spent a few days looking as well, no luck. Pretty sure this was an aftermarket/ add on fairing offered by Yamaha, but I have no evidence to support that :p It took about 2 years of stalking Ebay until i came across that one. I found one similar after my build was complete, but I see the link for that pic is now gone... Sorry I could be of more help.

Thanks for posting the link to the photos, Mad. Is it okay if someone wants to "re-create" this thread with the images in the correct places?

Thanks SpearChucker :D I was labor of love getting that one done, very happy with the results though. Too bad photobucket changed their TOS (that's another thread :p) I wish there was a way I could edit all the posts here, I would do it just so things made more sense to anyone looking for inspiration...
