Warning Label On My Battery

    Was giving my battery a tip-top charge in preparation for the upcoming riding season and while it was on the bench, I got a chuckle out of the warning info printing on the back:

    That's a pretty-darn good translation. Warning labels can't fix stupid, but they can give intellegent-ignorance time to become informed.

    The chuckle wasn't because the warnings aren't warranted. It was for the translation.

    You could sever something if the explosive gasses explode.

    As long as it doesn't sever something while you're sitting just above it on a ride ;)

    I work in the translation industry, medical field. I've seen the kind of bad translation that could cause a wrong drug dosage to someone in a 3rd world country. Not funny, but we do laugh about bad trans like these all the time.

    Best one I ever saw was for my Z50
    On the original microfiche the rubber plug on back of headlight is called
    " plug , useless hole"
    There are no useless holes .....
