Just got a used right side body cover for my 82 XJ650J from Len at xj4ever and its in even better shape than he said it was. Shipped promptly, packaged to prevent damage, a very pleasant transaction and I'll sure order from him again with no hesitation.

I also gotta say, I've asked Len tons of questions about how to do this and that on the bike and do you have this part and that one. He has answered all my inquiries promptly and with courtesy. He's one of the good guys for sure.

    Cheers,

    Phil

I second that! I have bought parts from Len twice now and I am sure I will be back, great parts at a good price. Thanks again!

...that's if the mail goes through.

First time, no problem. He lists two addresses; I don't remember which one I used the first time, but the second time I ordered, the post office bounced it. No idea why. I've resent it to the same address, so we'll see what happens.

As for Len himself, I agree wholeheartedly. He and I went back and forth diagnosing my leaky petcock, I bought the appropriate parts, and everything's happy.

I don't believe so -- he's been asked this question before. He says all his time is spent researching, testing and updating his current extensive inventory, not to mention filling orders. He just doesn't have the time.

Pardon my ignorance but is he an Flea-Bay seller? How does one contact him to ask questions or view inventory?

Send him a PM, like I do. Any time someone asks about parts, Chacal is always there to post price and availability. As for being on ebay... I have no idea.

Thanks guys, ya'll are making me blush.........

Not really. Just part of "doing things right"---what's in your best interest is in my best interest, too (how come so many people don't get that?). I like these bikes and like to help making fixing and riding them easier for others.

Anyway, schmuckaholic did help expose some minor problems at the post office, and that has been resolved. If not, next time I'm going postal on them........ BTW, shmuckaholic, the PO did deliver your order to me this time, and your parts are on the way to you!

No, nothing on eBay, maybe in the future. Website will be ready when it's ready, too much else to do right now. I know, that sounds like a broken record, but having the correct parts, in stock, and shipped promptly is a higher priority on the totem pole right now.

It's easiest to reach me at info-at-xj4ever.com, or my older e-mail address of chacal-at-mindspring.com. Either one will work! As far as mailing me things via the Post Office, the correct address is:

    XJ4EVER.Com
    PO Box 98393
    Atlanta, GA 30359-8393

For Paypal, our account is info-at-xj4ever.com.

Of course, in all of those e-mail addresses above, the "-at-" parts gets substituted with the "@" symbol!!!!

    Thanks again!

    Len

If you need some firepower, let me know... I've got a small arsenal of my own out here. :D

    Well, halle-freaking-lujah.

Looks like I'll be sending another order in your direction before too long... thanks to Jackncoke and Parts Unlimited, I now have the radiator and oil lines for the cooler to match up with the adapter plate I already have.

Put in an order on Monday, New Years Eve not even expecting it to be processed until Wednesday. After a little back and forth to confirm my order, he got it shipped out that day and I just got my stuff yesterday. Easy to deal with and fast shipping. Good stuff. Now i just have to find the time to put some work in on the bike.

I put my order in late on a Friday and I had it that following Tuesday. I never get anything that fast! Parts look fantastic (haven't put them on yet.) Included new oil seals and was very helpful and knowledgeable about my bike. Thanks Len!

I wanted to add my 2 cents here. My first order came in three days after I placed it and was exactly what I needed/ordered. It is great having someone on the other side of the counter (Computer... Internet... Whatever) who has the knowledge to make sure you are getting the right part. I just placed my second order with Chacal and I know there will be more to come.

Just like Christmas in February! Got my order today. Everything is perfect, as ordered. The only issue I have is: on the customs declaration it says "antique cycle parts". You calling my bike an antique? I'm older than the bike, guess I must be a fossil.

    Thanks Len

Christmas in February! Now there's an idea we can all live with.

    Speaking of which, I'm STILL running the "holiday sale" with discounted shipping for all members of this forum, so don't delay, order today---before I find the time to get around and update the ad :-}

Fossil, errr I mean RangerG, hopefully the customs declaration category that I use helps get your items into your hands with a minimum of VAT or other import taxes, I know that is an issue with our Canadian brothers.....how bad did they hit you up?

Len, got my mufflers yesterday. I've got a problem, though. I had you ship them to my work and now I can't get 'em home 'cause I'm riding my bike. You see, they won't fit in my saddle bags. Oh, what will I do?

Thanks for the prompt shipping, my friend! Can't wait to hang 'em and take her for a spin. I'll post a picture after I get them installed for you.

Don: Simple, just hit your big red easy button.

Or be like me! Don't ever leave work.

Thanks, would love to see pictures and also hear a report (or at least read one) on how they sound.

ZERO! They dropped the package off with my daughter... no tax, no duty. Ordering from the US or e-baying from US, is like gambling. Sometimes they charge, other times they don't. HOHOHO.

Wow, you won the import lottery!

Hey, that brings a advertising jingle into my head:

    Ordering from XJ4EVER is Great!
Your parts come fast, you don't have to wait.
And the quality and fit are always first-rate.
But best of all, the service you get,
Makes this supplier a winning bet.

Okay, not quitting my day job(s) anytime soon........

My advice to anyone looking for parts is to contact Chacal (XJ4ever) and ask if he has it. He probably does. I ordered some pretty random parts and he had them all.

I ordered a couple key blanks, side cover rubber grommets, front brake pads, a rubber boot off the clutch cable, and a new clutch cable.

The parts were perfect and worked like a charm. The clutch cable was about 2 inches longer than stock, not a big deal, and still fit and worked fine.

I will turn to Len in the future for all my parts. His prices are reasonable, rare parts are available, he knows what's gunna fit and what you'll need, and he's a member on the forum.

Thanks again to XJ4ever and Chacal.

Thanks Rig!........I'll have to check on that cable, wow, ther shouldn't be that big of a difference, although like you state, that small amount of difference doesn't matter as far as it functioning correctly.

    I'll second (and third) that!

Len got me what I needed and told me what I needed to know.

He is NOT just a parts pusher that doesn't know the difference between a carb drain screw and a final drive plug.
Not only will he tell you what you need, but how to keep from breaking other stuff.

I bet if we could "beam him up" he would even come help hold the wrenches!
    Thanks for the great service.

I just received my rubber mount washers for my valve cover bolts. Fast shipping and good communication. But the best part was the $90 Len saved me rather than buying OEM. Great job. I'll be back!!! :p :) :!:

    Thanks Muzik, glad to help!

Fonz, time is available, just order part HCPTIME1, comes in one hour increments, $120.00 each.

Of course, good used TIME's are also available, please inquire.

Unless, of course, your reference to "finding the time" meant that member TIMETORIDE was going to come over and assist you with some tasks, in which case that's between you and him.............. :D

This last weekend I managed to ruin an oil seal that Len had just sent me. I imagine that he probably runs into that alot with us wannabe biker mechanics. Well after talking with Len, he is sending a new seal free of charge so that I might hone my skills. I have placed three or four orders now with Len, and have never been disappointed. He has always gone above and beyond. It's nice to have someone willing to give his time, expertise, and in my case money so that we can keep these bikes on the road.

Len is THE hookup, not just a parts guy but an old school SME (subject matter expert). How many parts catalogs feature detailed explainations on How and Why, not just What and Where. Another great reference from a great supplier.

Thanks for keeping us all on the road

I'd like to publicly thank Len for all the great service he provides to this customer. My choke cable broke after 32 years of service, and he had a new one to my doorstep in three working days.
