For those of you playing along at home, I sat down and logged my procedure, materials, and time.

    Here is my task list:
    1. Bead Blast
    2. Body filler
    3. Block sand, 80 grit
    4. Primer - HoK KD3001, High build
    5. Block sand, 220 grit
    6. Primer, HoK KD3001, Medium build
    7. Sand, 600 grit
    8. Basecoat - HoK S2-25
    9. Clearcoat - HoK UC35
    10. Sand, 1000 grit
    11. Flowcoat - HoK UC35, about 10% over-reduced
    12. Sand 1000 grit
    13. Sand 2000 grit
    14. 3M 36060 Perfect-It EX AC Rubbing Compound
    15. 3M 06094 Perfect-It EX Machine Polish
    16. 3M 06068 Perfect-It Ultrafine Machine Polish
    17. 3M 05990 Hand Glaze

**not counting** the bead blasting that I outsourced, or new the emblems I acquired from XJ4Ever, I spent $200 on materials and 30 hours of work.

The bead blasting cost $65, but was well worth it in this case.

I realize it is not Concours correct, but that wasn't my goal. Concours correct would probably be more $ for materials and less shiny overall.
