Having now had these special tools manufactured for use in the partial disassembly and assembly of the final gear unit on my 4K0 (UK) XJ650.

Does anyone in the UK have the other tools required to fully complete the job. They are available from Fowlers but are rather expensive.

    External 9089001291 WEIGHT (fowlersparts.co.uk)
    and this adapter required too.

    The slide hammer has an M10 x 1.25 thread and the adapter converts M10 x 1.25 to M14 x 1.5.

The latter being the thread on the end of the pinion once the coupling gear has been removed.

This guy uses a pair of screw drivers rather than the slide hammer and adapter to remove the pinion.
