  KWES, use a hot air gun and warm up the boots. A smear of vaseline, or engine oil will help lube the lips of the boots and slip right in.

  If you're talking just about rotating the throttle tube, you're limited by the cable linkage. It doesn't rotate continuously.

  back at my xj900 project and making some progress. Moved the clutch forward. Moved the light control forward. Removed the choke cable from the light control but the choke plastic will not separate from the light control plastic. The choke cable wedges in between the two. Does the round plastic choke with two ears separate from the plastic light control. I can't see how to disconnect the enriched cable.
