Wanted 1983 XJ750 Maxim Gauge Cluster

Looking for a 1983 XJ750J Gauge Cluster in relatively good shape, but as long as the tach and speedo are accurate, I can fix one up cosmetically as well. I hopefully want one for under $50 if possible.

 

Your 83 shares gauge cluster with 82,83 xj650 maxim if you can't find one closer I think I have one

 

@Xander S - Do you need the entire cluster or just a speedometer??

 

I am unsure whether my tachometer reads correctly, since it does seem more sporadic rather than smooth, but if I could get a working speedometer, I can hear the rpms fine enough

 

Do people just sell the speedometer part? Does it fit in the 83 Gauge cluster?

 

Sure, sometimes

The speedo is the same part on 1980-1983 Maxim 650s and the 83 Maxim 750. The tach is the same on the 82-83 Maxim 650s and the 83 Maxim 750 (the 80-81 Maxim 650s have a mechanical tach and wouldn't work)

I may have a speedo from a 650 Maxim where the tach (which was mechanical anyway) got damaged. Let me take a look.

Sorry. Had to go dig it out. Here’s what I found. About 13000 and change on the clock.

 

Found a complete set with electronic tach too!!

 

How much you want? I don't have much since one of my cylinders stopped firing right, and I've spent $50+ to just try to diagnose the issue. This one also has a similar milage to the speedo I had on there (the broke one)
